Glowing Makeup using MAC + Maybelline Colour Tattoo

Hey everyone!

How are you all? I know I'm really late to jump on the "colour-tattoo bandwagon" but I recently checked out the popular Maybelline Colour Tattoo cream eyeshadows for myself, and I was particularly appealed to "On and on Bronze", a beautiful subtle bronze eyeshadow that I've basically been wearing almost every day since I purchased it. Sometimes I get bored of the application of regular eyeshadow,as  having to prime my eyes is generally a nuisance and the issue of fallout is also quite troublesome.

This colour tattoo has made my life a lot  easier basically, and when I'm in rush and want something to be on my eyelids, then I'll reach for this and apply it using my fingertips. I've tried using my MAC 224 brush however I feel like you have to swirl the brush is continuously to get a nice wash. It just seems easier with my fingertips. Below is swatch of Maybelline's Colour Tattoo in 'On and on Bronze'

I was recently looking for some makeup inspiration on the internet on bronze smokey eyes, and came across some photos of Jennifer Lopez and Rachel McAdams and Nicole Scherzinger. I must share them with you :)

I was inspired by these awesome looks and so decided to recreate all of these looks into one, but to also put my own twist into it.

Eyeshadows used:
Maybelline Colour Tattoo - On and on Bronze

 MAC- Mulch

Mac - Handwritten

Mac - Wedge

Mac - Texture

Makeup breakdown:

Eyes:
I applied Maybelline's colour tattoo in 'On and on Bronze' all over the lids up to crease. Then I used a mixture of 'Handwritten' and 'Mulch' from MAC on my outter corner to create a 'V' shape with a 217 brush. I used 'Texture' directly above this V shape and a bit of 'Wedge' as a transition colour and blended outwards. Next I used  a bit of 'Amber Lights'  on the inner corner of my eyes.
Using a Kohl eyeliner from MAC called 'Teddy' (LOVE THIS), I lined my top and bottom lash line, smudging the line with an angled liner brush to erase any harsh lines.
A few coats of Dolce and Gabbana's mascara in Secret Eyes, and the eyes are good to go!

Face:
For foundation I used MAC Face + Body in C5 combined with a bit of MAC's studio sculpt in NC30. C5 is a little too dark for me, but NC30 is a little too light, so they both work nicely when they're mixed together.
I can't remember what I used on my cheeks, but it doesn't stand out anyway thankfully aha!

Lips:
Firstly I lined my lips with a nudey brown lipliner from Barry M on the outer corners and blended it with a lighter pink lipliner by Sue Moxely called 'Glamour'. I topped off with a tiny amount of 'Peaches and Cream' from Sleek Makeup and topped with gloss from Bobbi Brown called 'Almost Bare'.

What do you think of JLo's, Nicoles and Rachel's makeup? Does everyone remember when JLo was famous for  her beautiful golden JLo glow? Her makeup artist was Scott Barnes at the time and he published a book called "About Face" a few years ago. I was casually reading the book (which is my sister's) in Cuba back in 2010 when I was still a 18 year old. His transformations are incredible, and inspired me so much. I knew from that point that my hobby and passion for makeup has reached another level and I wish I could be as amazing and creative as  him. He has a new book due to be released soon called "Face to Face" featuring Kim Kardashian. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Thanks for checking out my blog :)
Have a lovely weekend!
